ARE YOU A SEASONED PROCUREMENT PROFESSIONAL WITH A PASSION FOR HVAC PROJECT DELIVERY?

Join our Projects Department as a HVAC Projects Buyer and play a key role in ensuring materials and equipment are sourced efficiently, accurately, and on time. This role requires a highly experienced individual ready to elevate procurement operations.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)

What you can expect to do as an HVAC Projects Buyer:

  • Lead sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of HVAC equipment, materials, and services.
  • Develop and manage strong supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and performance.
  • Create and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), evaluate responses, and manage order approvals.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, and track delivery timelines closely.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Project Administrators, PMs, and Stores to align procurement with project requirements.
  • Maintain and optimise inventory levels to support project schedules efficiently.
  • Use ERP systems and Excel to produce procurement reports and performance dashboards.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED 

Experience:

  • 5–10 years in procurement, buyer, or sourcing roles within an HVAC or mechanical projects environment.
  • Proven track record in negotiation, vendor management, and cost control
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric (Mandatory)
  • Valid Driver’s Licence (compulsory) older than 1 year
  • National Diploma or BTech in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related (preferred)
  • Certification in procurement, logistics, or ERP systems (e.g., SAGE, SAP) — advantageous.

  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, procurement workflows, and advanced Excel modelling.
